Big To

James Quimm

Every once in a while a new voice emerges in the music business and captures the imagination like few have before. This is certainly the case with James Quinn.

Born  in Magherafelt in Northern Ireland, the youngest of four children, James grew up surrounded by music. This is not entirely surprising since his father is legendary country star Brendan Quinn.

His first influences were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendrix. As James grew older and having stumbled across one of his father’s old LP’s he began to take an interest in country music. Listening to country legends such as Hank Williams, Merle Haggard and George Jones, James was smitten with the ‘country feel’.This opened up a whole new world for James and he began to hone his voice by singing and playing guitar in his dad’s band. After experiencing life on the road and onstage, James has found a new passion for the lifestyle of a travelling band. A natural on stage, his performance belies his age, having already charmed large audiences in England and Scotland with his youthful good looks, warm smile and gentle easygoing nature.

With this newfound talent James has decided to go the Full Monty and go on the road with his own band, persuading his dad Brendan to play  guitar and his brother Stephen to lay down a good dancing beat on the Drums.
