Ivan D

Ivan Dennison was born just outside Lurgan on 11^th February.  He played piano and took lessons on the Pipe Organ, and played frequently in his local Church, also singing in the Church Choir.His love for music led him to play in a couple of small bands, but it was the advancement of interactive keyboards which made him decide to go it alone as a one man band. It was during this time that a partnership was formed with the late John Greer, and following a few gigs together, plans for a tour of Scotland and England were set in place, but unfortunately these never materialised due to John’s untimely death.

Ivan has also written and recorded a number of songs, one of which “He Cares For Me” was co-written with John.

Upon John’s advice, Ivan recorded this song as a duet with his own daughter and only child, Leanne, who on 23rd March 2004 at just 20 years, died from injuries sustained in a car accident on her way to work the previous day.

He will tell you that it is his love of music which has sustained him through his own illness, and also these tragedies in his life.
